Lasooni gavar batata ki sabzi

Ingredients

Gavar (kothavarkai) - 200 gms
Potato - 1
Coconut scrapped - 2 /3 tbsp
Groundnut powder - 2 tbsp
Water for cooking

Masalas/ Spices
Goda masala - 1 tbsp
Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Sugar - 1 tsp
Salt as per taste
Tumeric powder - 1/2 tsp

Tadka
Oil - 2 tbsp
Garlic cloves - 8-10 (made into paste)
Methi dana - 1/2 tsp
Cinnamon -1" piece
Cloves -2
Hing/ asefoetida - 1 tsp

Method

1) Clean the gavar , and break into 1" pieces and keep.
2) Cut potato into small cubes and keep
3) In a pan add tadka items and fry on low flame for a minute. Don't let the garlic become red.
4) Add the gavar and potatoes. Stir well.
5) Put water and spices and let it cook well.
6) Add coconut and groundnut powder , stir in well.
7) Shut the flame when little water is left so the sabzi is moist.
8) Serve hot with chapati or dal rice.
