Ginger chutney

A yummy accompaniment with amini kozhakattai, dosai ,idli.

Ingredients
Udit dal - 1 tsp
Green chillies -2
Red chillies dry - 4
Tamarind - 1 small lemon sized ball soaked in warm water
Jaggery - 1 tbsp
Salt
Oil - 1 tsp

Method
1) In a pan add oil , heat and then add udit dal. Fry till it gets golden color.

2) Then add dry red chillies, green chillies and fry.

3) Then cut the ginger into small pieces and add to pan. Saute just a little. If you saute too much it will give bad taste.

4) Let all the above ingredients cool

5) Soak the tamarind and take out pulp.

6) Add the cooled ingredients to mixer, add tamarind pulp, jaggery , salt and grind to smooth paste.

Chutney is ready to be served.

Notes:
Incase dry red chilli is not available you can add red chilli powder as per taste.
