I normally make this dry besan sabzi with capsicum. Had bought spring onions which i bought for other use so wanted to try this sabzi.
Ingredients
Spring onions- 1 bundle onions and leaves chopped separately
Besan - 3 tbsp
Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Tumeric powder - 1 tsp
Saunf / badishep powder - 1 tbsp
Salt - as per taste
Sugar - 1tsp
Groundnut powder - 1 tbsp
Oil for tadka
Cinnamon , cloves and jeera for tadka
Coriander leaves for garnish
Method
1) In a pan add oil , heat , then add tadka items. Let this fry for a moment.
2) Add onions fry for a while.
3) Add leaves and let this cook for a while. It
4) When almost done add besan and fry for 2/3 minutes.
5) Add all other ingredients and mix well. Add a little water, cover and let this cook. Keep checking so that it does not burn.
6) Finally garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with chapati / phulka or ghee rice.
