Holi week begins today. Holika dahan (burning of the fire in which we throw away all the past years bad thoughts, anger, thoughts and pray that the next year be good) is on 23rd March and Rang panchami is on 24th March. So thought let me add colour to my dishes as well.
So added green to an otherwise faded white upma.
Ingredients
Rava-1 cup
Water - 2 cups
Onioms - 1 small ( finely chopped)
Green paste - 2 tsp (coriander leaves, green chillies, ginger, salt)
Ginger chilli paste - 1 tsp
Sprouted boiled moong -2 tbsp
Boiled potato - 1 small
For tadka - oil, mustard seeds -1 tsp & hing -1/2 tsp.
Ghee - 1 tsp
Method.
1) In a pan add oil, mustard seeds and hing. Let the seeds splutter. Then add onions and fry till translucent.
2)Add rava and roast a little.
3)Add boiled potatoes, sprouted boiled moong, ginger-chilli paste, salt and mix all well.
4) In another pan keep the required water to boil. In that add green paste and let it boil.
