I used always see many people make variety of rice. So I decided to try different variations myself. Loved the taste of this tomato rice.
Ingredients
Brown rice - 1 cup
Tomato - 3 chopped in cubes
Paste of following items
Onion - 1
Garlic clove -1
Ginger - 1"
Green chillies -2
Peppercorn - 5-6
Jeera - 1 tsp
Saunf - 1 tsp
Cinnamon - 1"
Cloves - 2
Cardamom - 2
Oil - 2 tbsp
Salt tp taste
Masalas - Tumeric powder- 1 tsp
Garam masala - 1 tsp
Coriander leaves for garnish
Method
1) Cook the rice and keep to cool.
2) Make paste of ingredients and keep ready
3) In a pan add oil and above paste. Fry till oil separates.
4) Add tomato , little water, salt, tumeric powder and salt. (can also put water in mixer and retain that) Cook till tomato is soft.
4) Add rice, garam masala and coriander leaves. Give a good stir.
5) This will be slightly soggy rice will be good to serve with wafers. Enjoy.......
