Apple wheat halwa

Evening crave menu.

I had a few apples lying in the fridge for a few days.  Had seen a friends recipe using apples , so started off with pureeing apples with a dash of cinnamon.  That itself gave the apples a fab color . So didn't need to use extra colour. Then felt the puree was less so added wheat flour and the end result was absolutely delicious.  This combination and the smell wafting through the house was delicious.

Now for my recipe

Ingredients
Apples - 5 (pealed and cubed)
Wheat flour - 1 &1/2 cups
Sugar - 2 cups
Cinnamon powder - 1 tsp
Cardomom powder - 2 tsp (coarsely ground)
Ghee - 2/3 tbsp
Almonds - 10/12 .. cut lenghtwise.

Method
1) In a pan heat ghee add the puree of apple and cinnamon.  Fry for a while .
2)/Then add wheat flour. Mix well and cook till the raw smell goes and mix starts to leave sides ( can take upto 20 min of low flame).
3) Then add sugar and the whole thing will become slurry again. Mix well.
4) Keep stirring for some time. Then keep on medium flame with lid covered. (IMP .. I used a non stick pan so didn't have to keep stirring).
5) When it nears completion add part of the almonds , cardomom powder and empty in a bowl.
6) Decorate with the remaining almonds and enjoy.

The flavour is simply out of this world.
