Paal payasam/Rice kheer

Three ingredients , a cooker and lot of time on hand and the yummiest kheer is ready. 

Milk -1 ltr

Rice - 2 tbsp

Sugar -1 cup


There is no quick way to make the yummiest paal payasam. However the hours of boiling and condensing the milk is reduced with the help of the cooker and similar caramelised effect is got. 


Recipe 

Wash the rice. In a cooker add the rice and milk , bring to boil and cover the cooker keep pressure and cook on medium flame for 20 minutes. Switch of the gas and after steam is gone ,open the cover mix well. By now the rice would have cooked well. 

Add the sugar and mix . Keep again the cooker on low flame for about 10 minutes.

The last part I completed outside. Take out the payasam from cooker and keep the vessel of gas and let it cook for another 10 minutes. 


You can add cardamom and fried kaju & raisin for further flavour.
