Ghee Paratha

Ghee paratha


Parathas are delicious thick Indian bread prepared with wheat flour. Various flavours can be added. Today I made simple ghee paratha.

Ingredients

Whole wheat flour -1 cup

Ghee -1 tbsp for the dough 

More for adding inside the paratha and frying the paratha.

Salt a pinch

Oil -1/2 tsp

Water to bind the flour.


Method

1)In a bowl put the flour a pinch of salt and 1 tbsp ghee. Mix the ghee in all the flour and rub through. 

2) Add water slowly and bind the flour. Make a smooth soft dough. Add 1/2 tsp oil and cover the dough with it. Cover with a bowl and let it rest for 30 minutes.

3) Take a big ball of dough , apply flour and roll it on the rolling plate. Apply a tsp of ghee and dust a pinch of flour on tip. 

4) Start folding it in 1 inch folds till the whole chapati is rolled. 

5) Start rolling from the left to right and make intona flower shape

6) Press down , flatten , apply four and roll out again slightly thick.

7) Fry on the paratha with ghee on both sides.
