Masala milk

Milk favorite drink served cold best or warm with flavourings added is more delicious. In my mom's house it was more health reasons to add peppercorns and tumeric powder. In my MILs home a different flavouring with nutmeg and cardamom with nuts made a delicious prasad. I also added fennel to create a different and interesting flavour palate. 

Saffron can be added for taste and benefits but can be avoided as it is expensive. A pinch of tumeric serves the purpose to add color and bring a different health benefit. 

Do try this as it's easy to make and surely delicious

Ingredients

Milk - 2 cups

Fennel seeds - 1/2 tsp

Nutmeg powder - a pinch

Cardamom powder - a pinch

Black pepper - 4/5

Dry ginger -1/4 tsp

Kalkand / sugar candy - 1 tsp

Tumeric powder -1/4 tsp

Saffron strands - a few (optional)

Pista , almond - a tsp scrapped. 

Rose petals to garnish


1) In a broad pan add the milk with spices and flavouring powders except saffron and nuts. 

2)Bring to boil and keep on boil for 5 minutes. 

3)Strain and add the nuts. 

4)Can add saffron strands or rose petals and serve hot or serve it cold.
